Montessori

Montessori is a sensory style learning system for young children that seeks to develop natural interests and activities rather than use formal teaching methods. Children learn at their own pace so they can be self sufficient. By learning how to retain knowledge on their own, they don’t need to rely on others to teach them and advance much quicker in life than children who grew up in an archaic system.

Art

Art is a wonderful way for children to express themselves and a fun way to spend an afternoon. I enjoy helping children finger paint, bringing them to art museums, ceramics, and simply coloring in a book. Lets explore our creativity with art!

Gardening

Gardening has many benefits from natural vitamin D exposure, to Organic foods, and even aerobic exercise. One of my favorite plants is Lavender! It smells amazing and has a natural calming effect that is great for nap time.

Children love being a part of the planting process and it teaches them how to care for something, no matter how small it may be.

Sensory

Sensory boards and tables are my ultimate favorite activities with toddlers! This is in my opinion, the best way to help them learn and play independently.

Sensory boards are a great way for parents to get things done around the home without worrying about their toddler getting into everything.  I recommend making 3-5 boards and cycling them every four-ish weeks so they do not get bored of them, pun intended!

MUSIC

I love letting toddlers express themselves with music and dramatic arts! I enjoy watching them laugh and learn new songs each day and build their hand-eye coordination along the way.

Montessori

Daily story time is important to the development of little minds. Children love getting lost in the stories you read them and catch onto new words daily through reading.

preschool prerequisites are very important as well and a part of our daily routine including learning about manners, numbers, letters, colors, shapes, planets, and even hygiene.
